Where you live, there are two brothers, who are terrorizing the whole neighbourhood. They annoy the old lady next door by punching her doorbell; they torture the neighbour's cat; they deface the buildings with graffiti; they make noise late into the night, they bully little children etc.
How would you react? And why?

I would do nothing … I tell them that … What can I do? … I go to their parents … I ask around in the neighbourhood …

I would do nothing. It's up to the adults, their parents, to get them in line. Or it's a matter for the police. Why should I get involved?

I tell them that their behaviour makes me mad. It's nerving and unsocial, and I don't intend to put up with it any longer.

What can I do? Often enough have adults confronted them and threatened to call the police. It didn't impress them a bit!

I go to their parents and try to convince them that they should do something. To me alone, the rowdies are not going to listen.

I ask around in the neighbourhood, if we can't do something together. I don't want any longer simply to sit around doing nothing.
