Can an enterprise do business ethically?
Yes, not however in the sense that the enterprise itself attempts to define
a universally valid ethic, but rather in the sense that it creates a general
framework that rewards rather than punishes ethical behaviour within the
enterprise.
Likewise, in the sense that it creates the parameters for conceiving its business activities as an integral part of socially living together (corporate social responsibility). Finally in the sense that it imposes sanctions, when corresponding internal regulations (code of conduct) are not observed.
