A Global Economic Ethic – Consequences for Global Business

Already prior to the global economic crisis of 2008 the Global Ethic Foundation, working together with a panel of experts, had begun to think about the basic ethical principles required in business activities. The results of these deliberations were presented on October 6, 2009 at a symposium held at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.

The manifesto “Global Economic Ethic” follows in the footsteps of the “Declaration Toward A Global Ethic” issued in Chicago and attempts to transfer its ethical guiding principles to the economic sector.
