UN Global Compact: Engagement of business enterprises


1. Dialogue
Here concrete topics are discussed, e.g. “the role of the private sphere in conflict regions” etc.
 

2. Learning forum
This is the most important instrument of communication within the Compact.Via the Progress Reports (“Communication in progress”), participants can exchange their experience in seeking to achieve the ten principles. Scientific case studies and other information is available under www.unglobalcompact.org.
 

3. Partnership projects
The participating enterprises are encouraged to enter into partnerships with the UN and with institutions of civil society (“Public Private Partnerships” – PPPs) and thus to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
 

4. Networks
National networks support the achievement of the ten principles on the local level and thus contribute to quality protection and national anchorage.
