The way to enlightenment

At the age of 29, Prince Siddharta Gautama
left the parental palace for the first time.

Seeing aged persons, sick persons and a corpse, he realized that everything is only transitory and that life is ultimately full of suffering.

He left his family to take up the life of
a wandering ascetic in search of
a way to overcome suffering.
