dargestellt als Phallus (lingam), u. a. Symbol seiner schöpferischen Schaffenskraft.
Vishnu, ein gütiger Schöpfergott: wann immer die Welt gefährdet
ist, nimmt er menschliche oder tierische Gestalt (»avatara«: Herabkunft)
an, um sie zu schützen, u.a. als Rama und Krishna.
