Hans Küng
1928 born in Sursee in Switzerland.
1948 graduated in Lucerne.
1948–1955 studied philosophy
and theology at the Papal University Gregoriana in Rome.
1954 ordained to the priesthood.
1955 did graduate studies at the
Sorbonne and the Institut Catholique in Paris, where he earned a doctorate
in theology with a thesis on “Justification. The Doctrine of
Karl Barth and a Catholic Reflection”.
